KP Group has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the republic of Botswana to collaborate on the development of large-scale renewable energy generation, energy storage and transmission infrastructure.
The MoU establishes a framework for planning and implementing renewable energy and associated transmission projects. The proposed collaboration envisages investments of around USD 4 billion to scale Botswana’s renewable energy capacity to nearly 5 GW, upgrading high-voltage transmission networks, and strengthening regional interconnections to enable cross-border power trade.
