SDG Namibia One Fund has secured funding agreement with Zhero Europe to advance the Zhero Molecules Walvis Bay project near Walvis Bay in Namibia’s Erongo region.
The fund has committed up to USD 5.15 million to support development and feasibility activities required to move the project towards a final investment decision targeted for 2027. The funding is supported through the European Union’s Global Gateway initiative and Invest International. The project is expected to produce around 500,000 tonnes of green ammonia annually once operational. This output is projected to offset approximately 1.2 million tonnes of carbon emissions annually. It is also expected to create opportunities for local businesses and service providers across the project value chain.
