GUVNL awards 306 MW wind capacity under 250 MW tender with greenshoe option

Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) has awarded a cumulative 306 MW of wind power capacity under its 250 MW wind tender with a greenshoe option, issued in September 2025.

The allocations were finalised after three months of evaluation, with projects required to achieve a minimum capacity utilisation factor of 25 per cent. The largest allocation of 106.4 MW has been awarded to Powerica at a tariff of Rs 3.44 per unit. KP Group has secured 50 MW at the same tariff. The remaining capacity has been awarded at Rs 3.43 per unit to Patel Infrastructure for 100 MW and ALFANAR Power for 50 MW. Other bidders, including Juniper Green Energy and Jindal India Power, did not qualify under the cut-off criteria. The awarded tariffs mark a decline compared to GUVNL’s previous wind tender, where tariffs ranged between Rs 3.64 per unit and Rs 3.66 per unit.
