State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) has commissioned the 750 kV Kuqa–Alar–Bachu power transmission and transformation project following the successful energisation of the 750 kV Alar substation.
The project completes the Alar ring network the final ultra-high voltage element of Xinjiang’s “seven-ring internal power supply network” main grid structure. Its commissioning marks the full completion of the 750 kV Alar ring, strengthening grid reliability and enhancing power supply support for economic and social development across southern Xinjiang. The Kuqa–Alar–Bachu scheme comprises a 750 kV transmission line linking the Kuqa and Bachu substations with a total line length of about 485 km along with the newly constructed 750 kV Alar substation with an investment of CNY 3.04 billion.
