AGEL adopts the UN-backed TNFD framework for biodiversity disclosures

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has adopted the taskforce on nature-related financial disclosures (TNFD) framework as part of its enterprise-wide sustainability strategy, with the objective of integrating biodiversity-related risks and opportunities into core business and strategic planning. The company stated that it initiated organisation-wide assessments from financial year 2024 to map nature-related dependencies, impacts, risks and opportunities across all operational sites, ahead of formally joining the TNFD Adopters Group. AGEL has also committed to achieving no net loss of biodiversity by 2030 and plans to plant 27.86 million trees across its project locations.
