REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) has transferred two project-specific special purpose vehicles (SPV) related to intra-state transmission projects in Maharashtra to Ceigall India Limited and Tata Power Company Limited under the tariff-based competitive bidding route.
Velgaon Power Transmission Limited has been transferred to Ceigall India, which emerged as the successful bidder for the project to be developed on a build, own, operate and transfer (BOOT) basis. The project involves the establishment of a 400/220 kV gas-insulated substation at Velgaon, along with line-in-line-out works of 400 kV and 220 kV transmission lines and associated infrastructure. The implementation period for the project has been set at 24 months. Jejuri Hinjewadi Power Transmission Limited has been handed over to Tata Power. The project requires the construction of a 400 kV double-circuit transmission line of about 115 km between Jejuri and Hinjewadi along with associated works, and will also be executed on a BOOT basis with a 24-month implementation timeline.
