Tata Power-DDL launches “solar ambassador” programme to promote rooftop solar in Delhi

Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited has launched a community-focused “solar ambassador” programme to encourage household adoption of rooftop solar systems in Delhi under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. As part of the initiative, the utility has appointed 20 trained officials as solar ambassadors to engage directly with households and create awareness about rooftop solar solutions. These solar ambassadors have undergone specialised training in rooftop solar technologies at the Green Energy Skill Centre in Rohini and will act as a link between government policy initiatives and consumers. The programme aims to support grassroots-level implementation of rooftop solar adoption by helping households understand the technical, financial and environmental benefits of shifting to clean energy.
