Power Grid Corporation of India Limited’s (POWERGRID) wholly owned subsidiary, Powergrid Bhadla Sikar Transmission Limited, has commissioned the inter-state transmission system for evacuation of power from solar energy zones in Rajasthan.
The project titled “Transmission system strengthening scheme for evacuation of power from solar energy zones in Rajasthan (8.1 GW) under Phase II – Part E” has been fully commissioned. The transmission scheme was awarded to the company through the tariff-based competitive bidding route and is aimed at strengthening interstate transmission infrastructure to support large-scale solar capacity addition in Rajasthan.
