CIL secures composite licence for mineral concession from Ministry of Mines

Coal India Limited (CIL) has secured a composite licence for grant of mineral concession from the Ministry of Mines in accordance with the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957.

The composite licence has been granted for the Kawalapur rare earth elements and rare metals block. The concession has been awarded by a domestic authority.As per the terms of the licence, a mining lease deed is required to be executed by the respective state government, following which the holder of the composite licence will become the holder of the mining lease within a period of five years.
