JSW Thermal Energy Two Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of JSW Energy Limited, has signed a thermal power purchase agreement (PPA) for a 1,600 MW greenfield coal-based super/ultra super critical thermal power project with West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL).
The project will comprise two 800 MW units to be developed at Salboni in West Bengal, with commissioning targeted within six years. The project has been awarded through a competitive bidding process conducted by WBSEDCL and will utilise domestic coal linkage allocated under the SHAKTI policy framework.
