The Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC) has released its 14th integrated ratings of report of power distribution utilities.
The 14th rating exercise evaluates utilities on a score out of 100 using 15 base rating metrics and 9 disincentives, and assigns grades A+, A, B, B-, C, C- and D based on scores and specified overriding conditions. According to the report, 31 utilities have been rated A+ or A, while 11 utilities have been rated C or C-. A total of 12 utilities scored above 90 out of 100. The aggregate technical and commercial losses have reduced from 15.97 per cent in FY24 to 15.04 per cent in FY25. The billing and collection efficiency for FY25 came out to be 87.59 per cent and 97 per cent respectively.
