Reportedly, Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL) has secured a hybrid power supply and energy management mandate from Asahi India Glass Limited, covering multiple manufacturing facilities across Haryana, Uttarakhand and Gujarat.
Under the agreement, Adani Energy Solutions’ commercial and industrial division will manage a hybrid power supply of about 155 million units per annum for Asahi India Glass’ plants at Bawal, Roorkee and Patan. Out of this, around 110 million units will be sourced from renewable energy. The arrangement is expected to raise the share of renewables in Asahi India Glass’ energy mix to nearly 70 per cent from about 30 per cent earlier while delivering lower emissions, improved cost predictability and enhanced long-term energy security. The transition is estimated to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by around 72,300 metric tonnes annually.
