AP Transco targets completion of 55 transmission projects worth Rs 93.19 billion

Andhra Pradesh Transmission Corporation Limited (AP Transco) has set a target to complete 55 major transmission projects with an outlay of Rs 93.19 billion.

The programme will add 8,853 MVA of transformation capacity and 1,558 circuit kilometres of transmission lines to the state grid. The new 400/220/132 kV substations are under development at locations including Kakinada special economic zone (SEZ), Achutapuram, Gudivada and Ainavalli. The initiatives are aimed at strengthening grid capacity and supporting 24×7 reliable power supply across Andhra Pradesh. The state’s power utilities are prioritising transmission infrastructure expansion, system modernisation and adoption of advanced technologies to improve sector performance.
