South Korea’s Gyeonggi provincial government and Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to construct an underground transmission grid to supply power to SK hynix’s Yongin semiconductor industrial complex.
Under the Road–Power Grid Joint Construction Cooperation Agreement, the parties will co-develop road and power infrastructure along a 27.02 km section of Provincial Road 318 between Icheon and Yongin, adjacent to the industrial complex.
