India and Iceland are exploring cooperation to develop geothermal projects and carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) projects with public sector undertakings (PSUs), Icelandic technology firms and research institutions.
The discussions covered opportunities linked to India’s estimated 10.6 GW geothermal potential which includes Oil and Natural Gas Corporation’s Puga Valley project with potential capacity of up to 100 MW.
