NHPC Limited has commissioned Unit 3 with a capacity of 250 MW of the 2,000 MW Subansiri Lower hydroelectric project (HEP).
The project, located on the Assam–Arunachal Pradesh border, comprises eight units of 250 MW each. With the commissioning of Unit 3, commercial operation has now been achieved for two units of the project namely Unit 2 and Unit 3.
