Envision Energy has signed a turbine supply agreement (TSA) with REE Group for two nearshore wind projects totalling 128 MW in Vinh Long Province, Vietnam.
The projects include V1-3 Phase II with 48 MW and V1-5 and 6 Phase II with 80 MW. The projects will deploy 16 EN-226 8.X MW offshore turbines which would be the largest nearshore turbines in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. Construction on both projects is expected to commence simultaneously, with average wind speeds at the site stated to exceed 7 metres per second. The projects are among the first approved under Vietnam’s Power Development Plan VIII and are expected to achieve full grid connection by October 2026.
