Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL) is set deliver 10 million smart meters in 2026-27 after having delivered 10 million electricity smart meters across distribution companies.
As an advanced metering infrastructure service provider, AESL has a mandate to install 25 million smart meters across five states and is executing installations at a rate of about 25,000 meters per day. The milestone was achieved ahead of its earlier guidance of reaching 10 million meters by March 31, 2026 and that its smart meter network enables real time consumer insights, billing transparency and improved utility operations. The company has tied up with group entities including Adani Esyasoft Smart Solutions for smart metering and Internet of Things capabilities and AdaniConneX for local data hosting, along with onboarding tier I meter brands to support delivery timelines and platform relevance over the contract period.
