Jupiter International Limited, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Jupiter Solartech Private Limited, has commissioned its third solar cell manufacturing unit in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, adding 1 GW of mono passivated emitter and rear cell capacity.
With the new line, the company’s installed solar cell capacity has increased from 959 MW to nearly 2 GW. The facility is located in Village Katha, Baddi, District Solan and the expansion will double its local workforce. Further, the company is also setting up an additional 1.25 GW tunnel oxide passivated contact solar cell line as part of its technology upgradation and vertical integration roadmap.
