Gridworks advances USD 50 million Amari independent transmission project in Uganda

Gridworks, a subsidiary of British International Investment, has signed two agreements with the Government of Uganda to progress the USD 50 million Amari Power Transmission project to the construction stage.

The agreements included an implementation agreement with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development and a transmission services agreement with Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited, positioning Amari as the first independent transmission project in Africa to reach construction.
