REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited, has transfered over the project specific special purpose vehicle (SPV) for the inter-state transmission system project Bellary Davanagere Power Transmission Limited to Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID).
POWERGRID emerged as the successful bidder under the tariff-based competitive bidding process conducted by RECPDCL as the bid process coordinator for development of the project on a build, own, operate and transfer basis. The project has an implementation period of 24 months and covers augmentation of transformation capacity at the Davanagere and Bellary substations and establishment of a second 400 kV double circuit Bellary–Davanagere transmission line of about 72 km.
