Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has introduced a real-time substation monitoring system to enhance operational oversight and grid reliability.
The technology provides real-time digital surveillance of substations, enabling continuous monitoring of critical equipment and network parameters. The system is expected to assist in early detection of faults and abnormal conditions, facilitate faster response and restoration, and reduce outage duration. By strengthening remote supervision and data-driven decision-making, the initiative aims to improve reliability, safety and overall distribution network performance.
