Powertrac Group has invested Rs 6 billion to set up a 1,000 MWh per annum containerised battery energy storage system (BESS) manufacturing facility in India.
The facility will focus on lithium iron phosphate-based battery pack assembly along with in-house battery management system development and integration. The company plans to introduce 1–5 MWh modular containerised grid-scale BESS solutions and offer solar-plus-BESS hybrid energy systems.
