Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) plans to invest USD 25 million for power distribution modernisation for renewable energy and storage integration. It has launched the India Grids of the Future Accelerator for rapid demand growth. GEAPP has signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with distribution companies (disocms) in Delhi and Rajasthan designating them as the first cohort of “champion utilities” under the initiative and has also signed an MoU with the All India DISCOM Association.
