Kenya has selected a joint venture of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) and Africa50 for a USD 311 million public–private partnership (PPP) project to expand and modernise the country’s transmission network.
The project involves the design, construction, operation and maintenance of two high-voltage transmission lines aimed at improving electricity supply across western and northern Kenya.
