Hardip Singh, Chief Operating Officer at GREW Energy, is responsible for overseeing operational and manufacturing capacity, and facilitating expansion across the domestic and global solar markets. He started his professional journey with Mach Communication Private Limited, working on business strategy. He subsequently joined Optiemus Infracom Limited, where as executive director, he was involved in strategic planning, operational scale-up, and organisational growth. He later made a transition to Jakson Engineering Limited and subsequently Goldi Solar.
In his current role at GREW Energy, Singh focuses on strengthening efficiency, reliability and capacity across solar manufacturing operations, while building scalable systems to support long-term growth. He plays a central role in aligning operational decisions with business performance, ensuring that process improvements, capacity expansion and disciplined execution translate into sustained competitiveness and accelerated adoption of renewable energy solutions.
Singh views the government’s approved list of models and manufacturers as a decisive step towards strengthening India’s solar manufacturing ecosystem. He feels that the framework underscores the importance of quality, traceability and domestic value addition. “The mandate for wafer enlistment from June 2028 adds a critical layer of accountability and calls for accelerated investment, capacity expansion and deeper value-chain collaboration,” he says. With consistent policy support and time-bound capacity building, he believes the Indian solar industry is well positioned to emerge stronger and more competitive globally.
Singh adopts a collaborative yet results-oriented management style emphasising on clarity of roles, accountability and open communication. He places strong emphasis on building robust systems, encouraging cross-functional collaboration and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Outside of work, Singh enjoys spending time with his family and engaging in sports and other activities that help him maintain balance. Looking ahead, his priorities include strengthening operational excellence, expanding market presence, improving supply chain and production efficiency, and building scalable systems that create long-term value for customers and stakeholders.
