POWERGRID Narela Transmission Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), has commissioned the final inter-state transmission system project titled “Transmission system strengthening scheme for evacuation of power from solar energy zones in Rajasthan (8.1 GW) under phase-II part-G.”
The project was secured through tariff-based competitive bidding. It has achieved commercial operation with effect from December 7, 2025. The scheme forms part of the broader transmission strengthening framework aimed at facilitating the evacuation of renewable energy from designated solar energy zones in Rajasthan and enhancing grid integration capacity for large-scale solar generation.
