L&T secures major EPC orders for PT&D infrastructure in India and overseas

Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T) has secured a batch of major engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) orders through its power transmission & distribution (PT&D) business for grid infrastructure projects in India and overseas.

In India, the company has received an order for the design, supply and construction of two 220 kV gas-insulated substations in the Durgapur-Raniganj-Asansol industrial belt in West Bengal, along with associated transmission line segments using advanced conductors and multi-circuit towers. In the Middle East, PT&D has won turnkey orders from utilities for the construction of five substations and over 250 km of transmission lines across three countries, involving projects up to the 500 kV level, including a 400 kV underground cable system in one project.
