Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation (CESC) has announced the results of its 600 MW inter-state transmission system (ISTS)-connected wind-solar hybrid power auction.
Vismaya Renewables India Project has won 100 MW at a tariff of Rs 3.74 per kWh, while Hexa Climate Solutions and Sprng Energy have each secured 100 MW at Rs 3.75 per kWh. Purvah Green Power has secured the remaining 300 MW at a tariff of Rs 3.75 per kWh. The projects will be developed on a build-own-operate (BOO) basis, and CESC will sign 25-year power purchase agreements (PPAs) with the successful bidders. The tender requires developers to set up wind-solar hybrid projects with associated transmission infrastructure up to the interconnection point, with ISTS interconnection at 220 kV or above and a minimum wind-to-solar capacity ratio of 2:1.
