GAIL (India) Limited has approved the setting up of a 178.2 MW greenfield wind power project in Maharashtra.
The company’s existing installed wind capacity stands at 117.95 MW which is under full utilisation and the proposed capacity addition is aimed at supporting business growth. The project is expected to be implemented within 24 months from the award of the lump sum turnkey contract with an estimated investment of Rs 17.36 billion to be financed through debt and equity.
