Andhra Pradesh to invest Rs 60 billion in new substations to strengthen power infrastructure

Reportedly, Andhra Pradesh government will be investing about Rs 60 billion to strengthen the state’s power infrastructure through the development of 200 new electric substations in high-load areas.

The initiative includes sanctioning 33/11 kV substations across locations with high demand to ensure uninterrupted power supply and meet future load growth. The two 220 kV substations with an investment of about Rs 460 million are being developed in Vizianagaram district.
