BYD is set to launch its ultra-fast flash charging technology in Vietnam, marking a potential step forward for the country’s electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
The system is capable of charging a vehicle battery from 10 per cent to 97 per cent in about nine minutes under suitable conditions. If implemented, the initiative is expected to improve charging convenience and support wider electric vehicle adoption in the country. The technology uses high-voltage architecture and advanced battery systems to sharply reduce charging times, with similar charging stations already deployed by the company in other international markets.
