Batam-Bintan Karimun corridor is advancing plans to export clean electricity to Singapore for green industry and sustainable technology development.
The initiative builds on the bilateral understanding between the two countries on cross-border clean energy cooperation and the development of sustainable industrial zones in the Riau Islands. The proposed partnership extends beyond electricity exports and is expected to support the development of green industrial zones, renewable energy-linked manufacturing and broader cooperation on low-carbon technologies.
