Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) has announced the results of its 625 MWp solar power auction, with Welspun Energy and NLC India Limited emerging as the winners.
The two companies secured 300 MW each at a tariff of Rs 2.34 per unit. The selected developers will implement the projects on a build-own-operate basis at suitable locations across India. The projects are required to use solar modules listed under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s approved list of models and manufacturers list-I (ALMM), with the modules in turn using solar cells from manufacturers approved under ALMM list-II.
