Vietnam has outlined plans to establish two renewable energy industry and service hubs by 2030 under its revised Just Energy Transition Partnership roadmap. The updated plan targets renewable energy accounting for about 47 per cent of the country’s total installed power capacity by 2030, while capping power sector emissions at 170 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent. Vietnam also plans to complete a policy and regulatory framework for offshore wind, solar power and energy storage, while working with international partners to upgrade transmission infrastructure and develop a smart grid capable of integrating large-scale renewable energy.
