Coal India Limited has received a letter of award (LoA) from Telangana Power Generation Corporation Limited for setting up a 187.5 MW/750 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) plant at Choutuppal.
The project has been awarded at a tariff of Rs 0.314 million per MW per month and is to be executed within 18 months from the signing of the battery energy storage purchase agreement. The estimated project cost is Rs 10.57 billion.
