Atlanta Electricals Limited has secured approval from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) for manufacturing transformers of up to 400 kV class at its Vadod facility in Gujarat.
The approval marks a key milestone in its entry into extra high voltage transformer supplies and will enable participation in large extra high voltage tenders, subject to meeting qualifying requirements for 400 kV transformers and completion of a short-circuit test. The facility had also received NABL accreditation last year for in-house testing of units up to 400 kV.
