State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) has advanced two major transmission projects through its provincial subsidiaries. State Grid Fujian Electric Power Company has commenced construction of the Fujian section of the 500 kV Fujian-Jiangxi back-to-back interconnection project, while State Grid Ma’anshan Power Supply Company has commissioned the 500 kV Suoku substation in Ma’anshan, Anhui province.
The Fujian-Jiangxi project, approved by the National Development and Reform Commission, will run from the under-construction Longyan Changting Tingzhou substation in Fujian to the Lingbeishan South interconnection point on the Fujian-Jiangxi border.
