Texmaco Rail & Engineering Limited has secured a contract worth Rs 463.2 million from Southern Railway for electrification works under the Thiruvananthapuram-Eraniel track doubling project.
The scope includes design, supply, testing and commissioning of 25 kV traction overhead equipment, along with infringement removal and electrical modification works at the Thiruvananthapuram Central railway station yard. The project was awarded through a competitive bidding process and is scheduled to be completed within 36 months.
