The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is set to sanction up to USD 80 million to support the first phase of Scatec ASA’s 1 GW Dandara solar energy project in Egypt.
The financing will be extended to Dandara solar power. The first phase is estimated to cost USD 315 million and is expected to enter construction in the second quarter of 2026. The project will operate under a 25-year US dollar-denominated corporate power purchase agreement with Egypt Aluminium.
