Indonesia has launched 1.3 GW of rooftop solar capacity under a programme led by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, PLN and the Indonesian Solar Energy Association. The initiative forms part of the Road to IndoSolar 2026 programme and supports the country’s longer-term target of scaling solar capacity to 100 GW. It is also aligned with PLN’s 2025-2034 electricity supply business plan, which places greater emphasis on renewable energy additions.
