Reportedly, NTPC Limited is looking to set up two nuclear power units of 700 MW each in Banka district, Bihar, as part of its energy diversification strategy.
The project is expected to entail an investment of around Rs 250 billion. A feasibility study is currently being carried out by NTPC officials for the proposed units, which would add to India’s planned nuclear power capacity. The Bihar government has assured support for the project.
