Toyota Tsusho Corporation has commissioned two solar power projects in Tunisia with a combined capacity of 100 MW, marking its first renewable energy independent power producer project in the country. The projects have been developed through its group company AEOLUS SAS in partnership with Scatec ASA. The 50 MW Sidi Bouzid Mezzouna solar project began commercial operations on January 1, 2026, while the 50 MW Tozeur solar project commenced operations on March 4, 2026. The electricity generated from the projects will be supplied to the Tunisian Company of Electricity and Gas. The total project cost is estimated at around Euro 79 million.
