Inspired Evolution invests USD40 million in CrossBoundary Energy

Inspired Evolution has committed USD40 million to CrossBoundary Energy to support the construction of its renewable energy portfolio in Africa.

Cygnum Capital acted as CrossBoundary Energy’s financial advisor and fundraising partner for the transaction. The investment comes as CrossBoundary Energy advances the Kamoa-Kakula solar and battery energy storage system baseload facility for Kamoa Copper S.A. in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and prepares to begin construction of a large hybrid energy project for FG Gold’s Baomahun Mine in Sierra Leone. CrossBoundary Energy had also secured US$200 million in senior debt in late 2025 through a facility arranged by Standard Bank.
