The Ministry of Coal has issued a letter of award (LoA) to Kartikay Vayunandana Private Limited under category III of round II of the Rs 85 billion financial incentive scheme for promotion of coal/lignite gasification projects.
The company will set up a coal-to-acetic acid small-scale plant in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra, with an investment of Rs 7.93 billion. The project will have an installed acetic acid production capacity of 75,900 tonnes per annum. Category III of the scheme supports demonstration projects and small-scale product-based plants, with financial assistance of up to Rs 1 billion per project or 15 per cent of capital expenditure, whichever is lower.
