REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) has invited bids to develop two interstate transmission projects for evacuating 21.5 GW of renewable energy in Gujarat.
The first tender covers the 7.5 GW transmission system for integration of power from renewable energy projects in the Lakadia renewable energy zone in Gujarat Phase II, including substations, transmission lines and a 6,000 MW high-voltage direct current terminal station. The second tender covers the 14 GW Lakadia common transmission system Part B, which will support evacuation from Lakadia Phase II (7.5 GW), Jam Khambhaliya Phase II (5.5 GW) and Jamnagar Phase I (1 GW) projects.
