PLN IP Services, TMAI to accelerate solar growth in Indonesia

PT PLN Indonesia Power Services has partnered with PT Trina Mas Agra Indonesia to expand solar power development and support the energy transition in Indonesia.

The agreement, signed at the Kendal Industrial Estate in Central Java, aims to strengthen collaboration across planning, development and management of renewable energy projects. The initiative aligns with Indonesia’s target of achieving 100 GW of solar capacity and reducing dependence on fossil fuels. Under the partnership, PLN IP Services will expand beyond its traditional operations and maintenance role into renewable energy project development, while TMAI will contribute advanced solar technologies and domestic manufacturing capabilities. The company operates one of Indonesia’s largest integrated solar cell and module production facilities, supporting local content requirements and reducing reliance on imports.
