IndiGrid has commissioned a 180 MW/360 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Gujarat.
The project was jointly developed with EnerGrid, with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) serving as the off-taker. The project is among the largest BESS projects in India at a single location. The project forms part of GUVNL’s larger 250 MW/500 MWh BESS programme aimed at enhancing grid flexibility and facilitating better integration of renewable energy in the state.
