Indonesia, Malaysia firms to develop biogas and WtE projects

Indonesia’s Lampung Provincial Government has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Malaysian company Citaglobal Berhad to develop waste-to-energy (WtE) and renewable energy projects in Lampung province.

The partnership aims to convert urban and industrial waste into power as part of efforts to build a green industrial ecosystem and promote circular economy practices in the region. The collaboration includes the development of a waste-to-energy facility using German technology to process municipal waste and generate electricity for the local grid.
