China’s NDRC approves Shandong–Jiangsu B2B interconnection project

China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has approved the Shandong–Jiangsu back-to-back (B2B) power grid interconnection project, also known as the Lusu B2B project, aimed at strengthening interconnection between the Shandong and Jiangsu provincial grids, as well as enhancing

power exchange capability between North and East China regional power systems.

The project will be implemented by China’s largest state-owned transmission company, State Grid Corporation of China, and its subsidiaries – State Grid Shandong Electric Power Company (Shandong section) and State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power Company Limited (Jiangsu section).
